Suva is the largest capital in the Pacific Islands outside of New Zealand and Australia. It is located on the southeast coast of Fiji’s biggest island of Viti Levu.
Pacific Harbor is about a 30 minute drive from the centre of Suva and is a popular destination for tourists. There are many accommodation options in the area as well as tours and activities for you to embark on. Pacific Harbor is also home to the Fijian Cultural. Here you can learn more about traditional Fijian culture, see firewalkers and enjoy a traditional meal.
Suva is also home to Fiji’s National Museum which was founded in 1904 and has a large collection of historical displays and artifacts from Fiji and the Pacific. The Museum is located next to the Botanical gardens.
There are a number of Markets around Suva which sell fresh produce, arts and textiles. The Suva market and the Municipal markets are the biggest and definitely worth spending some time looking around.
