Visit the green paradise of the upper Navua River. This beautiful lodge was recently opened and is ready to welcome the traveller who is looking for something different in the heart of Fiji. Situated about 30 kilometres inland from Navua town on a 1 ½ hour ride in a long boat (punt). Numerous waterfalls on the way.
Just relax on the beach by the river or try the various activities on offer for your enjoyment. Be at peace with nature.
The trip to the Navua Upriver Lodge begins in Navau Town and takes you upriver on a long boat for approximately 2 hours. The scenic journey takes you past many beautiful waterfalls and remote villages where you will see the friendly inhabitants going about their daily routine in the beautiful Fijian highlands.
The Lodge includes a bunkhouse with 6 beds (2 double, 2 single) with a shower and flush toilet. The lodge has a 2 bedroom house with kitchen and cooking facilities, dining table, utility room, shower, and flush toilet. Veranda overlooking river, and all set in a pleasant garden atmosphere.
Some possible activities include bush trekking, hand line fishing and bamboo rafting. Enjoy an evening kava session while listening to the local string band. A village visit can be arranged, but must be booked in advance, at an extra cost.

A 30 kilometre tour to the first ever backpacker to be built up the Navua river on a punt. Then a village visit which you will present your sevusevu (ask for welcome) to the village and also the people of Nuku village will also present theirs, as a sign of welcoming you.
A visit to the village school is a must as the kids sing their favourite song with a bula smile on their faces. Lie back on the white sandy beach for relaxation and be on Fiji time while the rest of the world passes by.
Bilibili (bamboo raft) ride and bush trekking are also available. Things to bring along: swimsuit, towel, sulu, (lavalava) for village visit, sunscreen and sunglasses.
All meals are included. Tours cost FJ$ 140 per person. Children under 16 years of age FJ$ 75 and children under 4 years of age are free of charge.
