Nadi - gateway to paradise
Nadi

Nadi is the international gateway to Fiji and the third largest city in the country. Nadi is a great place to pick up souvenirs and has many eating options to cater for all appetites.

Nadi provides great overnight accommodation options ideal for travelers passing through the airport on their ways to other areas of Fiji. There are a large number of hotels, resorts, backpackers to cater for any budget.

Nadi is surrounded by rolling countryside, sugar cane fields and the famous Nausori Highlands. The village of Navala is perhaps the most picturesque in all Fiji. Even today many of the villages in the highlands are still very traditional and it is customary to ask to see the village chief to ask to spend time in the village. It is possible to stay in accommodation in the highland villages.

Koroyanitu National Park is excellent for overnight hikes through semi rainforest, rivers, waterfalls, and small villages. It pays to join a tour group or hire a guide to walk some of the tracks. Day trips to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant are also very popular and well worth the effort.
