Matangi Private Island Resort features some of the most elaborate and individually unique accommodation in Fiji. Inspired by the authentic Fijian and Polynesian style of home, our 7 Beachfront Bures, 3 Tree House Bures and 2 Island Bures are all built from natural local materials including bamboo, coconut palm thatch and local hardwoods.
With high ceilings, which act as a natural air-conditioner and cool tiled floors, our bures have been designed for absolute comfort to cope with our tropical climate. Whilst visually appeasing in design, all bures feature modern day luxuries including 24 hour electricity, hot water, ample 240-volt power outlets and high quality beds and linen.
Matangi Private Island Resort offers a wonderful variety of activities including snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water-skiing, light tackle sport fishing, hiking, private beach excursions, a half day trip to the Bouma Waterfalls on the island of Taveuni, a village tour on the island of Qamea and day trips to Taveuni Island. Our staff maintain a daily activities board - just write in your name on the board at the activities centre indicating the day, time and activity you want and our staff will have everything in place for you.

Child Policy - Matangi Private Island Resort cannot accommodate children less than 12 years of age unless they are part of a group that charters the whole resort.
Booking Terms & Conditions - Deposit: non-refundable FJ$1,000 is payable within 14 days of booking. Balance: payable 45 days prior to arrival. Late Bookings: bookings made within 45 days of arrival are payable in full upon booking.
Cancellations between 45 and 21 days: 50% of all nights cancelled. Between 20 days and arrival: Full charge for all nights cancelled. No shows or days not used due to delayed arrival or premature departure: No refunds will be given.
