Mamanuca Islands - Fiji
Mamanuca Islands

The Mamanuca Islands are a group of coral atolls and volcanic islands located offshore on the western side of Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu. One of the islands in the group, Modriki, was the set for the Tom Hanks movie, Castaway.

The Mamnuca Islands are located in the driest region of Fiji making them ideal for those looking to enjoy the sun. The islands are clearly visible from Viti Levu and can be reached by ferry, small boat, helicopter, seaplane or light aircraft.

All the islands in the group have white sandy beaches and tropical warm water ideal for snorkeling and diving. Some of the islands are quite small and are ideal for a 2-3 day stay to just relax and indulge in luxury. Most of the islands cater for different types of travelers. Some cater for couples, others for families and some for those looking to party. Make sure you have done your homework before booking to ensure you get the experience you are looking for.
