Rarotonga Backpackers offers two beautiful locations on the west side of the island, both with swimming pools. Our multi-level HILLSIDE property is located in a secluded spot, 300 metres from the popular Raemaru track yet still only 400 metres from the beach and coconut rat race, and offers dorm and bungalow accommodation. Our nearby BEACHFRONT complex offers doubles and triples with ensuites, triple/twin/single/dorm with shared facilities, beach huts and self-contained beachfront units as well as a beach house for larger groups.
With the concept and design of our Hillside and Beachside accommodation options we have tried to give the backpacker a higher quality of budget accommodation by creating a feeling of spaciousness with all our rooms, i.e. high ceiling, open plan living and large decking areas, but keeping "Budget Price" in mind.
With our Hillside and Beachside locations, we offer self-contained bungalows, double/twin/single rooms and dorm-style accommodation, with large open plan living areas and fully equipped kitchen, laundry and bathroom. The Hillside complex is ideal for large groups of up to 20 persons, however bookings are essential.
Relax on our decks by the swimming pool while taking in the breathtaking ocean views or, for the more energetic, a 60 minute hike up Raemaru Mountain for the spectacular sweeping views of the island. Join us for our popular Tuesday night BBQ or other organised night entertainment.
We also have a number of beachfront and beachside options for you: beach dorm beds, rooms, and bungalows for rent, as well as a two-room beach house. Located right by the lagoon not far from our hillside complex, you can stay in groups or as individuals to any budget and comfort level.
