Black Rock Villas are very spacious: 8m x 10m with a 3m x 10m verandah. Facilities include a dishwasher, 29" TV, DVD, microwave, telephone, and telephone jack for your computer, plus a barbeque in the private garden.
Black Rock Villas are easy to find. We are near Avarua, Rarotonga's main town, which is around 3000km NE of Auckland (5000km from Sydney). Rarotonga is in the southern group of the 15 Cook Islands and has around 9000 inhabitants. Up to 100,000 tourists visit Rarotonga every year, staying an average of 10 days.
Black Rock is more than just a great boulder in the sea - it is a magical place. Locals and tourists alike swim in the warm salt water pool which reaches a depth of over 2 metres at high tide. Legend has it that souls departed from this point to Hawaiki.
Nikao Beach, an 800m stretch of sand and coral, is a stone's throw from Black Rock Villas. The area directly across from the Golf CLub is referred to as the 'Social Centre' by locals.
The large pool is designed with the serious swimmer in mind: it is 1.6 m deep and 16m long. Children should be supervised at all times. It is a fresh salt water pool and we care for our guests and the environment by using no chlorine.
